Valerie Plasky, Director of Family Ministry & Office Manager

Val became the Director of Family Ministry at St. John's in August, 2009. Effective October 2011 Val is also the Office Manager. She believes that every person has a gift they can share with the congregation. As the Apostle Paul said, "So we are to use our different gifts in accordance with the grace that God has given us." Romans 12:6a. She hopes that all members of St. John's will share their talents with our young children and families through RSS and through family events and activities.

Val spent her career in volunteer management, working in a variety of area non-profit organizations including the Girl Scouts, the YWCA and Heritage Hill State Park. She also has experience in substitute teaching at every grade level from pre-Kindergarten through high school. Val and her husband Tom have one son, Matt, who is serving in the US AirForce, and a grandson, Miles. They have lived in Suamico since 1994 and in the Green Bay area since 1977. Val loves to travel, scrapbook and read.
